    Three questions, every day

One plan that answers what parents actually ask.

    Now

    What should we do next?

A short list of decisions for this chapter, in order, each with a reason.

    Covered

    What do we already have?

Owned, borrowed and gifted things count. No duplicate “buy” tasks.

    Later

    What can wait?

Permission to wait is part of the plan. Some choices are easier once you know your baby.

    • Choose and set up a safe sleep spaceOne calm, dedicated sleep space ready before arrival removes the biggest decision from the first night.
      Essential
    • Firm, well-fitting mattressFirm, flat and snug to the frame. Health services advise a new one, even in a borrowed cot.
      Essential1
    • Fitted sheetsA rotation so one is always clean while another is in the wash.
      Essential3–4
    • Check borrowed sleep equipmentLook at condition, missing parts and instructions before reusing a cot or mattress.
      Essential
    • Diapers, first sizesStart with one or two packs: babies use 8–12 a day at first, but size and brand fit are personal.
      Essential1–2
    • Changing matA cleanable surface for every change. An existing safe surface can work.

    How we build your plan

Reviewed catalog. Clear rules. No guesswork.

We don’t ask an AI to invent a shopping list. Your plan comes from a versioned catalog and transparent rules, so the same answers always give the same plan.

    01

    A reviewed catalog

160 item types and tasks, each labelled essential, depends on your setup, or nice to have.

    02

    Rules you can read

Your home, climate, travel, laundry and feeding answers set timing and quantity ranges. Every entry says why.

    03

    AI only explains

AI may help word an explanation of an item already in your plan. It never decides what is essential.

    04

    Sources, cited

Sleep, hospital-bag and first-foods entries link to public guidance such as the NHS. Your care team and hospital come first.

    Questions

    Good questions, honest answers.

Is this just another shopping list?

No. A list tells you what exists. BabyPlanned tells you what to decide now, what you already have covered and what can wait, with a reason for each. Many entries are tasks, not purchases.

Who decides what goes into my plan?

A versioned catalog and readable rules. Your answers about home, climate, travel, laundry and feeding set what appears and how many. AI does not add items.

    Is it medical advice?

No. BabyPlanned organises preparation. It doesn’t diagnose, certify products or check recalls. Your hospital, care team and manufacturer instructions always come first.

Can my partner and family use it?

Yes. Invite a partner or caregiver to plan with you, and share a private gift list where family can reserve items without seeing the rest of your plan.

What if our baby has already arrived?

Start from the birth date. The plan skips chapters that have passed and opens the one you’re in.

    Which languages are available?

English, Spanish, French, German and Portuguese. Some catalog text is still being translated and shows in English until it’s reviewed.

    What happens to our data?

Your answers are used to build your plan. Gift links never show your due date or private answers. You can export or delete your household from the app.
