Our method
Thoughtful planning. Clear boundaries.
BabyPlanned uses a versioned editorial catalog and transparent rules to organise baby preparation. Your answers shape timing and quantity ranges; you can change any decision and keep a record of what you already own, borrowed or were gifted.
How a plan is built
- A catalog of 160 item types and tasks across eight areas, each labelled essential, depends on your setup, or nice to have.
- Rules use your answers (home, climate, travel, laundry rhythm, feeding plans, whether baby has arrived) to include entries and set quantity ranges.
- Every entry explains itself, including the assumption behind a range, for example your laundry rhythm.
- AI only helps explain. It never adds items to your plan or decides what is essential.
What the plan can and cannot do
The plan is organisational support. It does not diagnose, prescribe, certify a product, check recalls, or replace instructions from your hospital, care team, manufacturer or local authorities. Country-specific guidance is withheld until it has been reviewed by a qualified local editor.

Catalog 2026.10-editorial-3 · rules 3.0.0. The catalog is an editorial draft. Before public launch, safety-sensitive entries need a named reviewer, country scope, source, review date and a correction path.
